Umi (海) can be translated to "Ocean", but it is frequently used to refer to the beach.
It's a word that evokes in me a mix of feelings: Travels, creating memories, distancing myself from everyday life. Because of that, Umi is a pair of earbuds that try to reproduce sounds in its own way. It is assumedly far from being neutral.
It is only by distancing ourselves from what is mundane that we can explore the unknown; Feed the yearning for new experiences without ever being content, with a curiosity that is endless like the horizon.
Umi is the result of months of constant iteration, with three prototypes in my daily rotation being reconfigured many times a month, for almost a year.

Umi uses 300 ohm drivers and offers a big, spatial sound.
It is a big step up from the first two offerings and is a very technical pair of earbuds.
Its strongest trait, though, is the atmospheric presentation of music. It does not aim to be "correct" or neutral, but to be unique and offer a big sound in a small package.
The high-impedance drivers, though very sensitive at 118dB/mW, do benefit heavily from good amplification due to its impedance curve.
